How to Create an Extra Folder in Gmail for Extra Messages?

Gmail is a free email suite developed by the IT giant Google Corporation. This high-end service provides several features such as View, Calendar, Docs, Spreadsheet, and much more.

Unlike other email services, the user interface of Gmail is clean and easy to organise, but sometimes it gets a bit unhandy if you don’t take appropriate steps to handle the incoming emails in a well-organised manner. To resolve this, setting up a separate folder seems the more suitable choice than others.

  • Login to your Gmail account using the username and password. Now, position the pointer of your mouse over Folders in the left panel.
  • Click the Plus button/mark that appears to the right of folders to create a separate folder. (If you are using a web browser, you may not find the Plus mark, in this case, click on the New Folder option at the bottom of the list of folders.
  • Type a name of the new folder in the text box that appears in the left panel and then clicks the Enter key to save the folder.

A New Folder Has Been Created; You Can Also Create a Subfolder to Make Your Emails More Categorised and Organised.

  • First, expand all the folders if it is closed. To do this, place the pointer to the left panel and click on it.
  • Right-click on that folder you want to add in it and select Create New Folder to create it.
  • Give a name to the subfolder in the provided field.
  • At last, press Enter to save the folder.

Gmail is indeed an essential web-email service. It is quite fast and effective, if you use its search box you can do so, just go into the search bar and type a few keywords and then voila, the messages relate to the entered keyword will appear on your screen. Furthermore, you can easily view your messages in a single context. No matter if you click the delete button, the message won’t go anywhere you can also find that in the trash box. Storing email in folders, sub-folders or even nested folders is a quite good choice if you really want to organise your emails. So use it and frying our spam, but if you get spam you can also further organise them cleverly and adaptive.

There are no cons using Gmail, but sometimes pop- up can appear and make sabotage your organised structure but then again using Google facility you can easily manage it too.
